Do you carry insurance ... ?

We sure do. With the different types of construction we do we carry a $2,000,000.00 general liability insurance policy. This helps protect us and our customers from any damage that could occur. On the positive side we have never had a claim to date, on our insurance, and we hope to maintain our safe work environment. If someone says that they carry insurance ask to see the proof- if they have it they won't mind proving it.

Why do you require a deposit ... ?

We require deposits on most of our projects. With several different projects going on at once, the up front cost to us gets very expensive, very fast. Without deposits we would not be able to front the cost of all the projects we complete. We will never ask for more than is necessary to begin the project. Typically on large projects we only ask for the material cost up front to begin the work. Then we bill in a series of  progress invoices to better serve our customers and keep the jobs running as smoothly as possible. On small jobs we typically do not require any deposit for that type of project.

Who is the owner... ?

I am the owner of the company (John Grissom). Our family has been in the construction business for four generations and God willing we will continue to be able to provided our customers with great products and services, at reasonable rates. I take pride in what we do and most of our business is from repeat customers and word of mouth.

What is your warranty ... ?

On most all types of projects we carry a standard 1-3 year complete warranty on the workmanship and labor of the project. Some projects allow for longer warranties and others do not. Typically the warranty period is listed on the estimates we provide and the contracts for the project.

When is the best time to start... ?

I have herd this type of question several times over the years. I guess this really depends on several things. I guess the best answer to this question is "When is the best time for you". Some projects such as home additions and advanced home remodeling require some compromise between the customer and the builder. It is best in these types of projects to find the best area of time to work on the home to reduce the amount of inconvenience the renovation may cause. With good planning and scheduling the project will run much smoother. The same goes for small projects as well.
